JB Holiday 13-15 Jun (Part 2)

 The husband joined us on the final day. He acted like a local and brought us to 稻香咖啡. The food is really nice. Much better than Oriental Kopi. Apart from the toast which is normal. The rest of the food were all yummy. Definitely recommend their 菠萝包，蛋挞，Nasi rice and Goreng Pisang too.

It was an enjoyable breakfast. So it was a blessing in disguise to not have room breakfast in the morning.

We explored Holiday Inn’s swimming pool n gym facilities and went back room to chill for a while before check out.

Headed to Vivo Pizza for lunch. It’s a corner shop so we had some difficulty finding it. 

My brother in law brought mom and me here before and we had a great meal the last time. Unfortunately their better options are the spicy ones but our kids can’t take it so we didn’t quite enjoy the non-spicy and processed foods. 

Took the kids for a Go!Kart ride while the husband was doing his pedicure. Jiejie checking meimei’s height. 

This place was empty when I came with sisters that time but this June holiday was crowded. Didn’t have a pleasant experience over here when buying tickets for the kids and queuing for their rides as well. 

We got people cutting queue as their kids just rushed into the empty cars even though we were queuing in front of them. So lesson learnt, just ask your kids to jump in next time. Tickets can come after.

I lost the ride ticket after collecting Chagee for the husband. Was feeling really depressed but hub managed to pick it up on his way to us! That was lucky isn’t it? So the kids managed to complete their rides after all. 😊

We waited for the evening to have dinner with Sis and her family at Jang Won Korean BBQ. We had to split tables as there wasn’t a big one available. Food was really nice and we enjoyed the side dishes a lot.

JB Holiday Inn 13-15 Jun 2024 (Part 1)

A week after Bintan trip, kids and I went JB for a 2 nights stay from Thursday. It was the first for me to bring 2 kids out of Singapore alone! Definitely a milestone unlocked and not forgetting having to handle a vomiting child on the taxi ride 🤮.

We were the first to arrive in JB, as there were accident jams and both sisters and mom missed the train. It was a long walk to the checkpoints and bus ride hence Mom had an achy back and leg. 

Charlyn took the chance to try some dresses and do a fashion walk while waiting for the rest to arrive😀

After Mom got a nice haircut at reds, we headed off to Queen Karaoke. Big room with toilet and price was cheap! We ordered wings, nuggets and fruits too.

We watched 小孩不笨3 and all had a good cry lol. Gwen was sniffing all the way haha!

Lady luck not quite on my side whenever it comes to getting rooms. We got it late and finally got it rectified after our movie. It was 10pm++ then…

Got a king bed to sleep with the kids.

Breakfast at 8:15am next day already left us with little selection. Most of the food were quick to finish. So we didn’t get much to eat hence I didn’t enjoy it.

Anmon Bintan 2-5June 2024

Had an amazing June holiday trips for the family. First, was Anmon Bintan where we had our first glamping experience. Everything was great (albeit too sunny) and we had a lot of relaxing time and our fair share of the lagoon, e-scooter and many meals at our neighbouring resort Natra Bintan.

Can’t remember how many times we visited Natra Bintan restaurant. The staffer was very nice to offer coloring materials for the kids and free snacks while we waited for our food.
